TKB Notes on Excellence

as shared by Augusto Santos Jr.
on The Kingdom Builders cell group meeting

July 11, 2009

- Jesus is our model of excellence

- Matthew 12:28; Matthew 17:24-27 shows us that Jesus walked in excellence by demonstrating the Kingdom with signs, wonders and miracles

- GOD CREATED US FOR EXCELLENCE, not for mediocrity

- Romans 12:6 says that God gave us different gifts; we are to use them excellently

- we are not created equal in terms of giftedness, as each one of us has our own uniqueness, but we are created equal in the sense that we all receive gifts from God

- we are negative in nature and we tend to take our strengths for granted

- we should IDENTIFY OUR STRENGTHS and talents and FOCUS ON THEM instead

- we must shift from focusing on the negative to focusing on the positive

- in identifying our strengths we should ask these questions: What am I good at? What do I enjoy doing? What is it that I find easy to do that other have a hard time doing?

- in pursuing excellence, it is more important to know WHOSE WE ARE or WHO WE BELONG TO, rather than who we are

- God MADE us; we are made FOR A PURPOSE; we are UNIQUE

- KNOW your IDENTITY. DEVELOP your RELATIONSHIP with GOD. KNOW your PURPOSE. PURSUE EXCELLENCE.

- submitting to discipline and training enables us to hit the mark of God’s purpose for our lives; therefore, excellence!

- FULFILLING GOD’S PURPOSE FOR OUR LIVES MAKES ONE TRULY SUCCESSFUL AND EXCELLENT!
